Translated in one single word —–SHOW
A team of professionals with different roles united by a common goal.
Costumes are my responsibility.
A costume is the look, the mouthpiece of the person that wears and uses it, a sort of identity card.
For this reason, one starts from the character description, the context where one lives, the social and cultural context and the very important actor that plays the role and gives life, to draw the image to be acted.
Apart from these fundamental elements, other ones are to be assessed for the project: the colours of other characters’ costumes, setting, choreography if applicable, lights and script or direction needs.
The trimmings and accessories of costumes are crucial: bags, footwear, gloves, jewels, belts, hats, crowns, wigs, hairstyles, make up etc.
These are reasoned and customised for each character and turn the costume into a unique piece.
